If our weekly congregational worship is where we gather to hear the word, when do we gather to live it out? A lot can happen between the hearing and the doing of God’s word. We are so busy sometimes we don’t seem to have the time to ask: How do I live that out? What would the next step of obedience look like? That’s where our Life Groups come in!
Simply put, Life Groups at Live Oak are smaller family meetings within the larger family of Live Oak Church. Their purpose is to encourage us to live out who we are In Christ in all of life. In other words, our Life Groups are a family of servant disciple-makers.
Faith in Christ makes us a family. We are children of our Heavenly Father and brothers and sisters to one another. We are called to love like the Father loves so the world can see it.
Faith in Christ makes us a servant. We are called to serve like the Son, putting the needs of others before ourselves.
Faith in Christ makes us disciple makers. It commissions us into his disciple-making mission to share the word of God as the Spirit leads us.
We here at Live Oak want to be a part of transforming our faith family by coming prepared to love like the Father, serve like the Son and make disciples by the word and the Spirit of God. And we would love it if you joined us!
